Races of Magic

     These creatures were never widely populated. Worse still their color and their lustrous fur and magical properties also made them appealing to the most vicious predators: poachers.  They were hunted for centuries until it seemed they had disappeared. When the lack of quarry made poaching the imps impossible and unprofitable, the hunting ceased. The creatures were hiding apparently for their species is now fully recovered though they are still, and have always been, rare.
